Dark inside

Moments after several huge earthquakes shake every continent on Earth, something strange starts happening to some people. Michael can only watch in horror as an incidence of road rage so extreme it ends in two deaths unfolds before his eyes; Clementine finds herself being hunted through the small town she has lived in all her life, by people she has known all her life; and Mason is attacked with a baseball bat by a random stranger. An inner rage has been released and some people cannot fight it. For those who can, life becomes an ongoing battle to survive - at any cost!
Since mankind began, civilizations have always fallen - now it's our turn!

I haven't read anything like this before so i was really looking forward to it i even circled the release date on my calendar (sad I know!) The cover and blurb left me reeling I love zombie movies but i had never actually red a zombie book and imagine my surprise!

Jeyn Roberts starts the book in modern day society and you actually go through the events as they happen which i thought was really good because you see how the worlds changing. It followed the charecter Michael, Clementine, Mason and Aries. Personally i loved the fact it was from four points of view most people would disagree but i found it very new.

After the disaster it skips a few months to where our charecter are and what has happened to their lives. They aren't together for most of the book i'd like to stress. They are mainly with different charecter through out the book.

Aries was my favorite female charecter because i could connect with her best i think. She makes mistakes but she powers through them. I don't think any main charecter of a book should be completely innocent because then it isn't life like.

Overall the best (and unfortunatly only) zombie book i have ever read! I must thank you Jeyn Roberts you have hooked me into this genre. Please do a sequal!

Rapture's new cover

The wait is finally over! I absolutely loved the fallen series by :Lauren Kate. I loved the last book because i was beginning to get worried that Luce was one of those I'll do whatever you say girls when in fact she isn't she earned her wings.

The white dress is stunning. The way it floats in the wind makes you feel like you really are just standing behind her and makes her hair stand out. The contrast of the black against the white makes it very alluring or is that just me?

All the covers in this series are beautiful but come on it's your favorite isn't it? I know it's mine!

Last breath

Best book in the series so far! Best cover in the series so far! Well done Rachel Caine

Claire Danvers is concerned when three vampires vanish from Morganville without a trace. The last person seen with them is someone new to town - a mysterious individual named Magnus. Claire is convinced creepy Magnus isn't human ...but is he a vampire, or something else entirely? Claire's hunt for answers leads her to solving another mystery that's long been puzzling her: why do vampires live so far out in a sunny desert when they're sensitive to sunlight? The answer has nothing to do with sunlight, but with water - and an ancient enemy who has finally found a way to invade the vampires' landlocked community. Vampires aren't the top predator on earth. There's something worse that preys on them ...something much worse. Which means if Claire, and Morganville, want to live, they will have to fight on to the last breath ...

Of course I'm for the good old land of the Eng's so we have the English book covers which in my opinion are better. (But hey that's my opinion yours could be completely different). I think it's the eyes that get me on this cover they are just so sharp it's like they are searing themselves into my soul.

The content of the book was marvelous. I was starting to go of the series if i'm being trueful the last one was good but so damn depressing i just wanted to cry half the time. That's when i changed ship from Shane X  Claire/ Claire X Myrnin to complete Claire X Myrnin. This book was so touching and sad. The way she writes the beginning where Myrnin has to do something is truly heart breaking cause he has no choice. If I was in Claire's position i would of seen that but no! The enemy is the worse we've seen yet. Dare i say it worse than Bishop! I know shock horror. Honestly but Bishop against Magnus and we have Bishop crying from his mum. Magnus is the mega bad ass in town.

A new couple emerge in this book and I'll be truful when i red it I cringed. Though at the end i was screaming at Rachel Caine. Why did you have to do that? Why for the love of everything thats holy do you have to do that to them? Where they doomed from the start?

I want another book now because they may have semi won the battle but they are far off wining the war.

Demon trappers: Forbiden

The best book I have read all year! I loved it so much!!!

Riley’s beginning to think being a demon trapper isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Her dad’s been stolen by a necromancer, her boyfriend’s gone all weird and she’s getting warm and fuzzy feelings for someone who’s seriously bad news. It’s tempting to give it all up and try to be normal, but that’s not an option.
Because the demons have plans for Riley.
And they’re not the only ones

Riley Blackthorne, kicking hell's ass one demon at a time...

Indeed! This book was amazing you really feel for the main charecter Riley. At the beginning of the book you have her boyfriend saying shes in league with hell, her fathers a zombie and everyone she loves seems to either be distancing themselves or trying not to get to attached.  Jana Oliver has beautifully written this inspiring novel. Defiantly an all time favorite novel. If i was in Riley s world i would personally go and hit a couple of people in the face. Yet that's a good thing about it. This book shows what its like to be a teenage girl who lost. I loved the fact that she didn't sugar coat it nd make it seem like it was the best thing ever to live alone without parents  because it isn't. This book is pure ingenious! The plot is unexpected byt you still hit yourselve for not seeing it sooner. I mean come on how obvious is it? If it was possible i think i fell in love more with Denver beck in this book than i did the last.  All in all amazing!

Evanescence Concert - Manchester the apollo 7/11/11

OMG amazing doesn't even begin to cover it at all. I wouldn't of been surprised if i actually died and went to my version of heaven!

This was my early birthday present of my mum and let me tell you i was so excited when i found out. I had hinted about evanescence for a while but never expected anything to become of it. I asked her to tell me what she was doing. Then i got the best shock of my life because it wasn't just Evanescence who where playing my other favorite band the pretty reckless where also playing. I couldn't stop screaming!

#

This is a picture of Taylor Momsen who is simply put amazing. For an 18 year old actress/rock star she is awe inspiring. Her performance was unbelievable she is her own person through and through. I in paticular loved her boots i mean they are the best things ever to grace the world. Any type of footwear she wears makes me green with envy and jealousy. Why can't i have her boots???

In fact the whole of the pretty reckless was on top form. I was wowed by your performance. My mum had never listened to your songs until we came to the concert now she wont stop playing them.

For the main event... Evanescence's comeback. After an antagonizing wait for their new album it finally came and it simply blew my mind away. Perfection in motion. Amy lee was so energetic and lively it really made you feel special.

The way she interacted with the crowd made us feel special because we come from the amazingly splendid MANCHSETER! Each time either Evanescence or the Pretty Reckless said Manchester i was surprised the roof didn't fly of from all the screaming. You could tell no one from either group was laking or couldn't be bothered everyone put in full effort.

my new favorite songs are lost in paradise (Evanescence), my immortal (Evanescence), sick (Evanescence), Made of stone (Evanescence),  seven nation army (The Pretty Reckless), goin' down (The Pretty Reckless) and Make me wanna die (The Pretty Reckless)!

Out of the list though my all time favourite from that concert would have to be Lost in Paradise. The lyrics make me emotional not many songs can do that but that song has a special power over me.

I've been believing in something so distant
As if I was human
And I've been denying this feeling of hopelessness
In me, in me

All the promises I made
Just to let you down
You believed in me, but I'm broken

I have nothing left
And all I feel is this cruel wanting
We've been falling for all this time
And now I'm lost in paradise

As much as I'd like the past not to exist
It still does
And as much as I'd like to feel like I belong here
I'm just as scared as you

I have nothing left
And all I feel is this cruel wanting
We've been falling for all this time
And now I'm lost in paradise

Run away, run away
One day we won't feel this pain anymore
Take it all away
Shadows of you
Cause they won't let me go
Until I have nothing left

And all I feel is this cruel wanting
We've been falling for all this time
And now I'm lost in paradise
Alone, and lost in paradise

What i love most about both these bands is the way i don't just relate to the music i know what they mean. When you hear these songs you don't just listen to these songs your soul absorbs the meanings of them. Every single song has a story to tell.

Lets just put it this way i loved it too much! It was so awesome i wanted to hit the person who got the drumstick it should of been mine! If either of them do a concert again i would get tickets. I would also go earlier so i could be right at the front.

ME being creative

Recently my grandma passed away that is why i haven't been blogging as much as I used  to. People deal with grief in different ways I think that you can't categorize  grief as everyone goes through a different process ... I for example don't cry in front of people if i need to cry which is very rarely I will hold it in till I am alone. I usually write poems. So this one is for you grandma x

You were always special to me
I know it can't be easy to see
But you always saw the best in me

I hide my sad emotions you see
I was happy and full of glee
Yet i was still the shadow to your light

I love you so much
And i miss your soft touch
No longer can I show you how much you mean

No longer do you wonder this earth
I walk alone in my nightmares
Searching for your light

You where so bright and kind
It must of made it easier to find
Your lights else where now

I hadn't noticed you see
You where slowly passing some light to me
No longer am I a shadow of who I should be

I miss everything about you
Just being you through and through
No pretence just yourself

Goodbye dear grandma
Sweet dreams fair well
Eventually I will see your light again

Everyone deals this is my way the reason I put it here is because once i right something like this i usually burn it but this means more to me.

The A-Team

What a film!!! I love my action films but i also love things you have to think about without being to philosophical. I liked the Matrix but it messed with my head like hell. I love something lighthearted and humorous that you could get lost in for a bit. So all in all an unforgettable film.

Cast:
Liam Neeson - John Hannibal Smith
Bradley Cooper - Templeton 'Faceman' Peck
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson - BA Baracus
Sharlto Copley - 'Howling mad' Murdock

Plot:A group of Iraq war veterans look to clear there names as they where framed and wrongly accused of a crime by the US goverment.

What a film. I regret to say that i had only ever heard of the A-Team from my auntie who was mortified to hear that i had never seen a episode. Hey give a girl a break it was out before i was born. From watching this film i regret that i have never seen one. The escapes where amazing and how they could make weapons from nearly nothing just blew my mind. The end was unexpected and expected at the same time. I have something to admit as I was watching this i fell in love with Murdock. The mentaly insane pilot who always seems to have the best and funny lines. The romance between Face and Soso was a welcome part of the film and you knew from the very begining when you first see them together they where made for each other. I just wish now that i could watch the series....

Once dead, twice shy!

My name is Madison Avery, and I'm here to tell you that there's more out there than you can see, hear, or touch. Because I'm there. Seeing it. Touching it. Living it.

Madison's prom was killer—literally. For some reason she's been targeted by a dark reaper—yeah, that kind of reaper—intent on getting rid of her, body and soul. But before the reaper could finish the job, Madison was able to snag his strange, glowing amulet and get away. Now she's stuck on Earth—dead but not gone. Somehow the amulet gives her the illusion of a body, allowing her to toe the line between life and death. She still doesn't know why the dark reaper is after her, but she's not about to just sit around and let fate take its course.
With a little ingenuity, some light-bending, and the help of a light reaper (one of the good guys! Maybe . . . ), her cute crush, and oh yeah, her guardian angel, Madison's ready to take control of her own destiny once and for all, before it takes control of her.
Well, if she believed in that stuff.

I was bored while I was off school and i had literaly nothing to do but mope around because i couldn't get hold of anyone. I know AWWW! I thought well this could be interesting or an utter waste of time however it turned out to be the former. Madison is a strong capable character who can take care of hersef and others she doesn't just go along with what others say and I respected that about her. My favourite charecter had to be Grace though with her humorous limericks and natrual quirkyness. The story is well written and while it does mainly revolve around her death it also acts like she does actualy have a normal life. Her charecter grows alot from the begining as she is quite reckless. I would definatly recomend this book as it can be quite serious but Grace makes it humorous and takes abit of the serious edge off. Highly funny dead fun!

Darkness becomes her

Ari can’t help feeling lost and alone. With teal eyes and freakish silver hair that can’t be changed or destroyed, Ari has always stood out. And after growing up in foster care, she longs for some understanding of where she came from and who she is.
Her search for answers uncovers just one message from her long dead mother: Run. Ari can sense that someone, or something, is getting closer than they should. But it’s impossible to protect herself when she doesn’t know what she’s running from or why she is being pursued.
She knows only one thing: she must return to her birthplace of New 2, the lush rebuilt city of New Orleans. Upon arriving, she discovers that New 2 is very...different. Here, Ari is seemingly normal. But every creature she encounters, no matter how deadly or horrifying, is afraid of her.
Ari won’t stop until she knows why. But some truths are too haunting, too terrifying, to ever be revealed.

I haven't actually read it yet but i saw it and thought wow! The cover, the concept just everything is awesome! Can't wait to read it!!!

The mentalist : Strawberries and Cream

I have been watching the mentalist since the first episode aired in England and I have not regretted it at all. The mentalist is an awesome show about Patrick Jane who is a consult to the CBI since Red John killed his wife, Angela and child, Charlotte. Patrick Jane works with a team of CBI agents Teresa Lisbon is the boss of the team, Cho, Wayne and Grace also are on the team. Jane uses unorthodox methods to catch the criminals but believe me it makes better television if you are on the edge of your seat because Jane has done something illegal to help put someone away...

*************** SPOILERS ***************
The season 3 finale of Strawberries and Cream was so awesome it left me shouting at the tv saying what the hell was that really Red John? Did he really just do that? What about Grace she just killed the person she loved is she okay? How hurts is Lisbon is she going to die? Did Jane nearly cry when he thought Lisbon was hurt because he was breathing heavily? Does Jane care about Lisbon? What a bloody well done finale i take my hats of to the people how made it I loved it so much. I think they choose the perfect person to portray Red John and after 3 seasons of waiting for them to meet each other I was no where near dissapoined with the outcome. Those last few minutes where they sit down and converse like normal people is one of the creepiest things i have ever seen. Red Johns high voice sent chills down my back Bradly Whitford made an amazing Red John worthy of this amazing show.  What i liked most was how he kept saying I am a normal human being i have my small flaws, i was thinking no mate you don't have small flaws. Red john said did you expect me to have horns? I am not the devil. Which made me think there is no face for a killer anyone could of killed someone and you wouldn't of known about it.

Strawberries and cream is a very apt title  and you only realise that at the very end when they have this discussion.
Patrick Jane : But i don't know if you are really Red John?
Red John: Your wife is very clean she smelled like cool tar soap and lavender. Your daughter smelled like sweat, like strawberries and cream some kind of kids shampoo.
I want the next series to start soon so I can have all these questions answered but I Guess I am going to have to wait *sigh*

Is That Red John?

I am really sad that we might not be seeing anymore of these in the near future unless they didn't kill Red John only one of his 'friends'.  Dun dun dun... What do you think???

New happy song!

At the moment i think this has got to be one of my happy songs that shows you know one truly leaves you they will always be there for you. I love the lyrics it always makes me happy :).

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice,
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear.

What's your happy song???

Everyone has something that keeps them going...

When I feel down I write, read and do other stuff to keep my mind occupied so I wont have to think about other things and I can almost forget that reality actually exists. I love writing little poems and short story's when I am down because it is something I can just do without having to think about and it seems to come to me when my mind is on autopilot. That is what I do to keep going and everyone will go through a time in there lives when they feel like crawling up and crying into a pillow. You know what that is the best thing to do in a situation like that but always keep this in mind.

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

I love this saying by Sir Terry Pratchet because it states that in life there has to be darkness before the light can come and cheer you up so you don't have to go through the dark any more. Unfortunately you have to go through the darkness before you can step forward into the light. This has helped me through so much and i think that Sir Terry Pratchet is an awesome author and more importantly an awesome person who stands up for what he believes in. That is way I decided to blog about this today. This saying has helped me through so much I hope it can help you too...

Trial by fire : raised by wolves

I <3 Jennifer Lyn Barnes She got me hooked with raised by wolves where i secretly fell in love with Devon... well it isn't a secret now! Raised by wolves follows the story of Bryn who is a human with the psychic power resilience living in a political werewolf world

Bryn is now leader of the Cedar Ridge pack of werewolves and she's convinced that her pack is different - it's democratic and fair. Then Bryn finds a battered teenage Were, Connor, bleeding on her front porch. He begs Bryn to protect him from an abusive leader; Bryn takes him into her pack.   But Bryn's Were partner Chase doesn't trust the new boy, and the more time she spends helping Connor, the more aggressive Chase becomes. Bryn is not sure if it's jealousy, or Were possessiveness but for the first time she starts to feel suffocated by the bond she and Chase share.   Filled with action, unlikely allies, and deadly conspiracies, Trial by Fire will change Bryn forever. She is soon to realise that to lead a pack of werewolves, she must give in to her animal instincts and become a little less human. And as hard as it's going to be, Bryn is going to have to do it alone.   There can only be one alpha.

The book starts of with a very real threat being sent into the Cedar ridge pack's midst. A werewolf, Lucas, who used to be Shay's chew toy escaped and made his way to Bryn's pack hoping that she could help him. While Shay starts asking questions about where Lucas is there is another threat coming from a coven of Psychics who want to kill Lucas. This was a great thrilling book to read with so many twist and turns it left my head spinning in a good way!  In this book you truly see where loyalty's lie and how far some people would go to protect the ones they love. Chase and Bryn's relationship grows leaps and bounds in this and I loved that no matter what they could still be together. Callum also plays apart in this book and you find out what Bryn really means to him in the way he acts and what he says... or lack of. I cannot wait for the next book to come out as it is such a gripping series. It isn't one of my all time favourite series but it is defiantly so awesome!

Ordained

Normally, the school creates the hunters - not the monsters.
Abby Sorrensten likes to play rough. Ripping the horns off the foreheads of demons, manipulating lightning and setting things on fire with the flick of your wrist can give you a serious rush. So she probably wasn't the best choice for the Order's experimental training program. Thirteen years of isolation, lack of affection and a bruised and broken body from horrendous training sessions creates more than just an exceptional fighter. It creates an evil within - an evil responsible for several deaths the night she left.
Two hundred years later Abby resurfaces as the very thing the Order trained her to kill: a vampire. A mythical demon has set his sights on the school and only the ordained hunter has the powers to face it. Unbeknownst to the Order, Abby's their precious ordained one and their only chance for survival. As much as she would love to leave them hanging, she's not willing to risk the life of Emily, a fellow friend and hunter also fed up with the organization. But for Abby, locking herself away in a fortress with angry descendents of those she killed causes suspicions and tensions to run high. Abby must learn the demon's weaknesses for battle before the Order learns hers.

I saw this on amazon and decided to get it on my amazing Kindle! I may have been ify when I got the free sample but I am so happy i did. This book revolves around the main charecter Abby who is a trigger happy half evil warlock half good witch which makes her the sacred huntress. Abby and Noel are hidding a secret from the order but can they keep it being right under the orders nose. I can't wait for the next one if it is as beautifully written as this was I am definalty going to keep an eye on Devon Ashley as her writting captivated me and has hooked me. The charcters where esy to emphasise with and it didn't take me long to read as I could hardly put it down. The twist of Morphus was one that i ended up slapping myself because i didn't see it coming and it seemed to be so obvious yet so crypted at the same time. So for me the only question is what is taking so long with getting the next book published???

Push

I was browsing sky movies as you do and i came across a movie called push. I recorded it and a couple of months later i sat down and watched it. It sound awesome and the film in my opinion was just as good!

It starts of with a young lad and his father running through a motel and his father telling him to run and never stop running because they will find him. The father pushes the boy, Nick,  out of the room without touching him before a swat team come in and kill the father while the child watches. The scene then moves to modern day when the same division which kiled Nicks father are experimentinmg on super humans when Kira, a pusher who can push her thoughts into anyones head, escapes after she survives the experiment the division are forced to hunt her down. This starts a huge race across the Hong Kong urban scene with three partys involved. Nick is aproached by a young girl cassie who is a watcher, she sees the future and they vow to find the syrum which Kira has.

I enjoyed this film so much it really is an amazing film and my only regret is how long it took me to watch it. The actors worked well together and I really liked Dakota Fannings aproach to the role Cassie as she was my age ish and a punk chick with attitude. The film was cleverly thought out with a twist of an ending which is begging for a sequal to be made which they better make because you don't want to see me when i am angry. So overall i recomend this film I loved the begging where it explains how it got the way it got the way it did and how it started in WW2 for me that made the concept of the film more real and gave it a deeper meaning. All I am going to say is they need to make a sequal and soon before Dakota Fanning is to old to play Cassie.

The dark divine

A Prodigal Son
A Dangerous Love
A Deadly Secret

Grace Divine—daughter of the local pastor—always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared and her brother Jude came home covered in his own blood.
Now that Daniel's returned, Grace must choose between her growing attraction to him and her loyalty to her brother.
As Grace gets closer to Daniel, she learns the truth about that mysterious night and how to save the ones she loves, but it might cost her the one thing she cherishes most: her soul.

I read this and just loved it! Thanks immi! Grace was a strong independent charecter and i liked how she didn't just give into her love for him straight away she kept him at a distance and she did try to help him but she didn't ask for anything more. Then eventually she realised she doesn't just have a crush she is in love with him.  Her family are trying to stay away from Daniel but she just can't. Her life doesn't seem to evolve around him in my opinion she does help but she does a hell of a lot more than just sits there and thinks about Daniel. I recommend Bree Despain as an author and I cannot wait for imogen to lend me the next one... Hint hint nudge nudge

Tchuss!

Cover reveal - Juliet immortal !!!

I saw this i read the blurb and I have decided i cannot wait till it comes out i mean even the cover drags you in!
Juliet Immortal

"These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which as they kiss consume."
—Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

The most tragic love story in history . . .

Juliet Capulet didn't take her own life. She was murdered by the person she trusted most, her new husband, Romeo Montague, a sacrifice made to ensure his own immortality. But what Romeo didn't anticipate was that Juliet would be granted eternity, as well, and would become an agent for the Ambassadors of Light. For 700 years, she's fought Romeo for the souls of true lovers, struggling to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. Until the day she meets someone she's forbidden to love, and Romeo, oh
Romeo, will do everything in his power to destroy that love.

I read it and i think i fell in love. Do you see what i meant about the way she is sat on a rock it totaly makes me think it is Juliet. There is no other book out there which makes us think that their love story was a sham every over book about them is who they have been reincarnated and they love each other but this is just in a whole different league...

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit i have had a hell of a lot of homework and some problems i have to work to soothe over. Enjoy Monday, who am i kidding i hate Mondays as much as the next person!

Ciao!

Carpe corpus

In the small town of Morganville, vampires and humans lived in (relative) peace, until all the rules got rewritten when the evil vampire Bishop arrived, looking for the lost book of vampire secrets. He's kept a death grip on the town ever since. Now an underground resistance is brewing, and in order to contain it, Bishop must go to greater lengths. He vows to obliterate the town and all its inhabitants, the living and undead. Claire Danvers and her friends are the only ones who stand in his way. But even if they defeat Bishop, will the vampires ever be content to go back to the old rules, after having had such a taste of power?

I started reading this book and there was only three words that formed on my lips What the hell? I really wanted Shane and Claire to be together,I really wanted Amelie the amazing bad ass vamp to show her self and above it all I really wanted Myrnin to not be an evil good for nothing traitor. So for the first part of the book I was as glum as the day is long but i defiantly grew my respect for the evil vamp Bishop, who probably could of wrote the rule book on torture. Once this book starts going though you are so happy that you didn't put it down and walk away as you learn the resistance has claws way to deep into Bishop. I actually cried when I got to the end as one of my much loved characters dies and the reprocutions are enormous on Morganville, all i am going to say is she finally admits it but its is too late all she got was a smile. I cried a river :'( .
Another great book in a series I love so much.

Lord of misrule

Morganville, Texas. Just south of normal
In the college town of Morganville, vampires and human coexist in (relative) bloodless harmony. Then comes Bishop, a master vampire who threatens to abolish all order, revive the focus of the evil dead, and let chaos rule. But Bishop isn't the only threat. Violent black clouds promise a storm of devastating proportions. As student Claire Danvers and her friends prepare to defend Morganville against the elements, both natural and unnatural, the unexplained happens: Morganville's vampires begin to vanish one by one. Discovering why leads Claire to one last choice: swear allegiance to Bishop... or die.

I truly am beginning to love this book series so much! Once again the whole world seems to be unravaling around Claire but what is even weirder is that all vampires seem to be united in taking down the big bad Bishop. I think the beginning where the whole town is burning and you now right then that the war has started is beautifully written. The whole book it refers to a game of chess, you have the pawns who you would willingly sacrifice, the queen who fights for what she believes in, the kings who they are protecting, the knights who do their bidding. I did not see the ending at all yet when you look back there are loads of little clues leading up to it but you are willing to turn a blind eye because you don't want to believe it. Even with the ending I love Myrnin and I really don't think anyone can change that even you Immi, by the way thanks for my Myrnin bracelet! My only question is now how can she top it?

Feast of fools

It was hard to imagine how Clarie's day could get any worse...
And then the vampire holding her hostage asked for breakfast.
In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans have learnt to live together in relative peace. Still Claire Danvers knows that after dark, her homework can take a back seat to staying alive. But this tenuous harmony is turned on its head with the arrival of Mr Bishop.
Bad to the bone, the ancient old-school vampire cares nothing about keeping the peace; staying at the top of the food chain is enough. What he wants from the town's living and dead is unthinkably sinister. It's only at a formal ball attended by vampires and their human dates that Clarie realises that Bishop's plan - and the elaborate evil trap he's set for the warm blooded souls of Morganville...

I officially love this series!!! From the first line you are instantly hooked into the book and it doesn't let you go until you have done or are forced to put it down. My mother literally had to claw it out of my hands so I would eat. Some people may say that that is so sad but hey thats my life! Bishop was a welcome evil addition to the series you could imagine him taking over the world and people would be to scared to do anything. Oliver and Amelie put aside there differences to get rid of Amelie's dad, Bishop, and stop him from hurting anyone else. Shane and Clarie's relationship grows drastically in this book but i don't know if there relationship can weather many more storms. My only negative thing about it was there wasn't enough Myrnin, he is by far my favorite charecter. Myrnin and Amelie are by far my two favorite charecters call we weird all you want but i really respect them both and they both have there quirky sides. So all in all an amazing book series great author and once again a cliff hanger and a half of an ending. Rachel Caine is officially trying to kill me with suspense!

Midnight ally

Morganville is such a nice place to live...
And die. If you don't mind that sort of thing.
When  Clarie Danvers learnt that her college was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self preserving student would do: she applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic. The transfer is no longer an option, but the garlic may come in handy.
Now Clarie has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town. The protection her contracts secures does little to reassure her friends. All of a sudden people are turning up dead, a stalker resurfaces from Clarie's past, and an ancient bloodsucker extends a chilling invitation for private lessons in his secluded home.

I have to start this review by thanking one of my best friends immi for lending me this series and basically every book i read. I loved this book and although some parts of it where predictable other parts just blow your mind away and makes you think how did i not see that coming? My favorite charecter has got to be Myrnin the eccentric old vampire who i think is bordering on being a psychopath but i think that just make me love him more it defiantly adds to his quirky personality. The main charecter Clarie defiantly grows in this novel and yes she still has along way till she comes out of her shell but she defiantly grows. I think it may have to do with the imminent danger she always seems to be in. All in all it had a great plot, killer characters (no pun intended),  expected and unexpected twists and a cliff hanger which has you literally screaming at the book as if it could give you the answers you seek, or maybe i am just way over dramatic.

Strange angels

Dru's not afraid of the things that go bump in the night but she should be...
Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called "the touch." (Comes in handy when you're traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.) Then her dad turns up dead—but still walking—and Dru knows she's next. Even worse, she's got two guys hungry for her affections, and they're not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whoever—or whatever— is hunting her?
Dru lives a life devoted to killing the things that go bump in the night but what happens when just once things backfire and her dad comes back as a zombie who was told by its maker to find and retrieve her?  Dru tries to carry on as normal until she can contact someone but normal isn't a word i would use to describe her life as things begin to spiral out of control and leading her into a very dangerous experience with several things that go bump in the night. This book made me emphasis with Dru and what she is going through, I loved how she was really like a normal girl her age under her tough shell she cries several times through the book which anyone would do if there life was spiraling out of control around them. Yet her witty remarks and loyalty make her someone who if you crossed her you would have to rue the consequences. One of my favorite books!

The dead girls dance

Good news girls: your dates are here!
Bad news girls: they are dead!
Clarie Danvers has had her fair share of challenges- Like being a genius in a school that favours beauty over brains, dealing with the homicidal girls in her dorm room and, above all finding out that her college town is overrun with blood sucking fiends. On the plus side, so far Claire and her friends have survived getting on the wrong side of some Morganville VIP's... Vampire Important Persons. But their temporary peace is in danger of collapsing, thanks to the arrival of her new boyfriends scary father and his vampire fighting supporters,

This book follows on after the events of Glass houses the first book. Shane's dad has shown up and at the begging it looks like even Amelie's protection wont be enough to save them. I picked up this book and started reading straight away because of the unbelievable cliff hanger the last book left you on  I mean was Rachel Caine trying to kill us with suspense? This book was a worthy follow up to Glass houses and once again I was left screaming noooooo! There is always something happening To Claire in this book, if it isn't a mysterious person from Eve's path raising hell, then she is stuck in the middle of a political game between Amelie and Oliver, or even hiding from her new boyfriends dad. Who said life in Morganville was boring?

The hunger games

 Winning will make you famous.
 Losing means certain death.
In a dark vision of the future a terrifying reality TV show is taking place. Twelve boys and twelve girls are forced to appear in a live event called the hunger games. There is only one rule: kill or be killed.
When sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her sisters place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her survival is second nature.

The hunger games is a book you just don't put down until it is finished the constant suspense makes it impossible. A very long time ago there was a rebellion against the capitol which the capitol stops and as punishment they create the hunger games to keep the districts inline. Katniss has to look after her family after her father dies and that includes taking her sisters place in the abomination which is the hunger games along with a acquittance called Peta.  They meet a past winner called Haymitch Abernathy who helps them to win no mater what, he has got to be my favorite charecter due to his personality.
I loved this book and i found it really easy to sympathies and feel for most of the characters like any other book there are characters you are supposed to hate and those characters you grow to hate with a passion. The journey this book takes you through is one i can assure you, you will never forget.
