Once dead, twice shy!

My name is Madison Avery, and I'm here to tell you that there's more out there than you can see, hear, or touch. Because I'm there. Seeing it. Touching it. Living it.

Madison's prom was killer—literally. For some reason she's been targeted by a dark reaper—yeah, that kind of reaper—intent on getting rid of her, body and soul. But before the reaper could finish the job, Madison was able to snag his strange, glowing amulet and get away. Now she's stuck on Earth—dead but not gone. Somehow the amulet gives her the illusion of a body, allowing her to toe the line between life and death. She still doesn't know why the dark reaper is after her, but she's not about to just sit around and let fate take its course.
With a little ingenuity, some light-bending, and the help of a light reaper (one of the good guys! Maybe . . . ), her cute crush, and oh yeah, her guardian angel, Madison's ready to take control of her own destiny once and for all, before it takes control of her.
Well, if she believed in that stuff.

I was bored while I was off school and i had literaly nothing to do but mope around because i couldn't get hold of anyone. I know AWWW! I thought well this could be interesting or an utter waste of time however it turned out to be the former. Madison is a strong capable character who can take care of hersef and others she doesn't just go along with what others say and I respected that about her. My favourite charecter had to be Grace though with her humorous limericks and natrual quirkyness. The story is well written and while it does mainly revolve around her death it also acts like she does actualy have a normal life. Her charecter grows alot from the begining as she is quite reckless. I would definatly recomend this book as it can be quite serious but Grace makes it humorous and takes abit of the serious edge off. Highly funny dead fun!

Darkness becomes her

Ari can’t help feeling lost and alone. With teal eyes and freakish silver hair that can’t be changed or destroyed, Ari has always stood out. And after growing up in foster care, she longs for some understanding of where she came from and who she is.
Her search for answers uncovers just one message from her long dead mother: Run. Ari can sense that someone, or something, is getting closer than they should. But it’s impossible to protect herself when she doesn’t know what she’s running from or why she is being pursued.
She knows only one thing: she must return to her birthplace of New 2, the lush rebuilt city of New Orleans. Upon arriving, she discovers that New 2 is very...different. Here, Ari is seemingly normal. But every creature she encounters, no matter how deadly or horrifying, is afraid of her.
Ari won’t stop until she knows why. But some truths are too haunting, too terrifying, to ever be revealed.

I haven't actually read it yet but i saw it and thought wow! The cover, the concept just everything is awesome! Can't wait to read it!!!

The mentalist : Strawberries and Cream

I have been watching the mentalist since the first episode aired in England and I have not regretted it at all. The mentalist is an awesome show about Patrick Jane who is a consult to the CBI since Red John killed his wife, Angela and child, Charlotte. Patrick Jane works with a team of CBI agents Teresa Lisbon is the boss of the team, Cho, Wayne and Grace also are on the team. Jane uses unorthodox methods to catch the criminals but believe me it makes better television if you are on the edge of your seat because Jane has done something illegal to help put someone away...

*************** SPOILERS ***************
The season 3 finale of Strawberries and Cream was so awesome it left me shouting at the tv saying what the hell was that really Red John? Did he really just do that? What about Grace she just killed the person she loved is she okay? How hurts is Lisbon is she going to die? Did Jane nearly cry when he thought Lisbon was hurt because he was breathing heavily? Does Jane care about Lisbon? What a bloody well done finale i take my hats of to the people how made it I loved it so much. I think they choose the perfect person to portray Red John and after 3 seasons of waiting for them to meet each other I was no where near dissapoined with the outcome. Those last few minutes where they sit down and converse like normal people is one of the creepiest things i have ever seen. Red Johns high voice sent chills down my back Bradly Whitford made an amazing Red John worthy of this amazing show.  What i liked most was how he kept saying I am a normal human being i have my small flaws, i was thinking no mate you don't have small flaws. Red john said did you expect me to have horns? I am not the devil. Which made me think there is no face for a killer anyone could of killed someone and you wouldn't of known about it.

Strawberries and cream is a very apt title  and you only realise that at the very end when they have this discussion.
Patrick Jane : But i don't know if you are really Red John?
Red John: Your wife is very clean she smelled like cool tar soap and lavender. Your daughter smelled like sweat, like strawberries and cream some kind of kids shampoo.
I want the next series to start soon so I can have all these questions answered but I Guess I am going to have to wait *sigh*

Is That Red John?

I am really sad that we might not be seeing anymore of these in the near future unless they didn't kill Red John only one of his 'friends'.  Dun dun dun... What do you think???

New happy song!

At the moment i think this has got to be one of my happy songs that shows you know one truly leaves you they will always be there for you. I love the lyrics it always makes me happy :).

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice,

Everyone has something that keeps them going...

When I feel down I write, read and do other stuff to keep my mind occupied so I wont have to think about other things and I can almost forget that reality actually exists. I love writing little poems and short story's when I am down because it is something I can just do without having to think about and it seems to come to me when my mind is on autopilot. That is what I do to keep going and everyone will go through a time in there lives when they feel like crawling up and crying into a pillow. You know what that is the best thing to do in a situation like that but always keep this in mind.

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

I love this saying by Sir Terry Pratchet because it states that in life there has to be darkness before the light can come and cheer you up so you don't have to go through the dark any more. Unfortunately you have to go through the darkness before you can step forward into the light. This has helped me through so much and i think that Sir Terry Pratchet is an awesome author and more importantly an awesome person who stands up for what he believes in. That is way I decided to blog about this today. This saying has helped me through so much I hope it can help you too...

Trial by fire : raised by wolves

I <3 Jennifer Lyn Barnes She got me hooked with raised by wolves where i secretly fell in love with Devon... well it isn't a secret now! Raised by wolves follows the story of Bryn who is a human with the psychic power resilience living in a political werewolf world

Bryn is now leader of the Cedar Ridge pack of werewolves and she's convinced that her pack is different - it's democratic and fair. Then Bryn finds a battered teenage Were, Connor, bleeding on her front porch. He begs Bryn to protect him from an abusive leader; Bryn takes him into her pack.   But Bryn's Were partner Chase doesn't trust the new boy, and the more time she spends helping Connor, the more aggressive Chase becomes. Bryn is not sure if it's jealousy, or Were possessiveness but for the first time she starts to feel suffocated by the bond she and Chase share.   Filled with action, unlikely allies, and deadly conspiracies, Trial by Fire will change Bryn forever. She is soon to realise that to lead a pack of werewolves, she must give in to her animal instincts and become a little less human. And as hard as it's going to be, Bryn is going to have to do it alone.   There can only be one alpha.

The book starts of with a very real threat being sent into the Cedar ridge pack's midst. A werewolf, Lucas, who used to be Shay's chew toy escaped and made his way to Bryn's pack hoping that she could help him. While Shay starts asking questions about where Lucas is there is another threat coming from a coven of Psychics who want to kill Lucas. This was a great thrilling book to read with so many twist and turns it left my head spinning in a good way!  In this book you truly see where loyalty's lie and how far some people would go to protect the ones they love. Chase and Bryn's relationship grows leaps and bounds in this and I loved that no matter what they could still be together. Callum also plays apart in this book and you find out what Bryn really means to him in the way he acts and what he says... or lack of. I cannot wait for the next book to come out as it is such a gripping series. It isn't one of my all time favourite series but it is defiantly so awesome!

Ordained

Normally, the school creates the hunters - not the monsters.
Abby Sorrensten likes to play rough. Ripping the horns off the foreheads of demons, manipulating lightning and setting things on fire with the flick of your wrist can give you a serious rush. So she probably wasn't the best choice for the Order's experimental training program. Thirteen years of isolation, lack of affection and a bruised and broken body from horrendous training sessions creates more than just an exceptional fighter. It creates an evil within - an evil responsible for several deaths the night she left.
Two hundred years later Abby resurfaces as the very thing the Order trained her to kill: a vampire. A mythical demon has set his sights on the school and only the ordained hunter has the powers to face it. Unbeknownst to the Order, Abby's their precious ordained one and their only chance for survival. As much as she would love to leave them hanging, she's not willing to risk the life of Emily, a fellow friend and hunter also fed up with the organization. But for Abby, locking herself away in a fortress with angry descendents of those she killed causes suspicions and tensions to run high. Abby must learn the demon's weaknesses for battle before the Order learns hers.

I saw this on amazon and decided to get it on my amazing Kindle! I may have been ify when I got the free sample but I am so happy i did. This book revolves around the main charecter Abby who is a trigger happy half evil warlock half good witch which makes her the sacred huntress. Abby and Noel are hidding a secret from the order but can they keep it being right under the orders nose. I can't wait for the next one if it is as beautifully written as this was I am definalty going to keep an eye on Devon Ashley as her writting captivated me and has hooked me. The charcters where esy to emphasise with and it didn't take me long to read as I could hardly put it down. The twist of Morphus was one that i ended up slapping myself because i didn't see it coming and it seemed to be so obvious yet so crypted at the same time. So for me the only question is what is taking so long with getting the next book published???

Push

I was browsing sky movies as you do and i came across a movie called push. I recorded it and a couple of months later i sat down and watched it. It sound awesome and the film in my opinion was just as good!

It starts of with a young lad and his father running through a motel and his father telling him to run and never stop running because they will find him. The father pushes the boy, Nick,  out of the room without touching him before a swat team come in and kill the father while the child watches. The scene then moves to modern day when the same division which kiled Nicks father are experimentinmg on super humans when Kira, a pusher who can push her thoughts into anyones head, escapes after she survives the experiment the division are forced to hunt her down. This starts a huge race across the Hong Kong urban scene with three partys involved. Nick is aproached by a young girl cassie who is a watcher, she sees the future and they vow to find the syrum which Kira has.

I enjoyed this film so much it really is an amazing film and my only regret is how long it took me to watch it. The actors worked well together and I really liked Dakota Fannings aproach to the role Cassie as she was my age ish and a punk chick with attitude. The film was cleverly thought out with a twist of an ending which is begging for a sequal to be made which they better make because you don't want to see me when i am angry. So overall i recomend this film I loved the begging where it explains how it got the way it got the way it did and how it started in WW2 for me that made the concept of the film more real and gave it a deeper meaning. All I am going to say is they need to make a sequal and soon before Dakota Fanning is to old to play Cassie.

The dark divine

A Prodigal Son
A Dangerous Love
A Deadly Secret

Grace Divine—daughter of the local pastor—always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared and her brother Jude came home covered in his own blood.
Now that Daniel's returned, Grace must choose between her growing attraction to him and her loyalty to her brother.
As Grace gets closer to Daniel, she learns the truth about that mysterious night and how to save the ones she loves, but it might cost her the one thing she cherishes most: her soul.

I read this and just loved it! Thanks immi! Grace was a strong independent charecter and i liked how she didn't just give into her love for him straight away she kept him at a distance and she did try to help him but she didn't ask for anything more. Then eventually she realised she doesn't just have a crush she is in love with him.  Her family are trying to stay away from Daniel but she just can't. Her life doesn't seem to evolve around him in my opinion she does help but she does a hell of a lot more than just sits there and thinks about Daniel. I recommend Bree Despain as an author and I cannot wait for imogen to lend me the next one... Hint hint nudge nudge

au revoir!

The day Louisiana teenager Rory Deveaux arrives in London marks a memorable occasion. For Rory, it's the start of a new life at a London boarding school. Cover reveal - Juliet immortal !!!

I saw this i read the blurb and I have decided i cannot wait till it comes out i mean even the cover drags you in!
Juliet Immortal

"These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which as they kiss consume."
—Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

The most tragic love story in history . . .

Juliet Capulet didn't take her own life. She was murdered by the person she trusted most, her new husband, Romeo Montague, a sacrifice made to ensure his own immortality. But what Romeo didn't anticipate was that Juliet would be granted eternity, as well, and would become an agent for the Ambassadors of Light. For 700 years, she's fought Romeo for the souls of true lovers, struggling to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. Until the day she meets someone she's forbidden to love, and Romeo, oh
Romeo, will do everything in his power to destroy that love.

I read it and i think i fell in love. Do you see what i meant about the way she is sat on a rock it totaly makes me think it is Juliet. There is no other book out there which makes us think that their love story was a sham every over book about them is who they have been reincarnated and they love each other but this is just in a whole different league...

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit i have had a hell of a lot of homework and some problems i have to work to soothe over. Enjoy Monday, who am i kidding i hate Mondays as much as the next person!

Ciao!
